'The Velodrome' was formed in September 2005, aiming to give Track Cycling a greater presence on the world wide web.

In it’s early form as a Discussion Forum the website quickly developed in popularity and so in March 2006 the site was expanded to form www.velodrome.org.uk

The site provides browsers with up-to-date News, Photography and features such as Rider Diaries and Interviews from the world of cycling, with more discussion on cycling headlines and random chat in our forum

2007 saw the launch of our partnership with CyclingHeroes, our German Media Partners who manage the Road Cycling section's content

It is regrettable that current Road Cycling headlines are often dominated by Doping, however although we keep you up-to-date on all such stories we aim to populate the site with stories regarding the racing itself and focus on what we all love about our sport, hence our extensive Events section.

This section of ‘The Velodrome’ contains detailed listings of all Track Events, and a wide selection of Road Events in which each individual event has its own sub-section featuring News, Results, Information, Photography and much, much more.

2007 also saw The Velodrome move into event sponsorship, all our current events are listed here: Velodrome Sponsored Events
