27th August 2010: Day Five of the British Junior National Track Cycling Championships produced some very exciting racing with the
star performer Staffordshire's Kian Emadi who beat defending champion Lewis Oliva in the Junior Keirin.
Emulating his hero, Sir Chris Hoy, Emadi shot clear of the field to take a solo victory with Oliva somehow getting himself out of a box to claim the silver
ahead of Halesowen's Tom Gregory.
Welshman Owain Doull beat World Junior Madison champion Simon Yates to take the Junior Points Race with Declan Bryne third.
The Under 16 Girls Points Race was fast and furious as Amy Roberts just did enough to beat Emily Kay and Elinor Barker to take the national title.
The U16 Men's Sprint was all about Sport City Velo with their two talented young sprinters James Berryman and Matthew Rotherham doing battle for the Gold medal. Looking to have the edge it was Berryman who
took the victory in a final that quite honestly could of gone either way. Alex Minting denied the Manchester Velodrome based team a one-two-three as he
beat Chris Latham to take the Bronze.
