Kilo King Daniell Comes of Age 31st October 2008: In the only event on the opening day of the Manchester World Cup, not to be affected by a lack of entrants, Great Britain's Dave Daniell produced the ride of his life to win the Men's 1km Time Trial in an amazing time of 1m 01.996s. The rider from Middlesborough was competing in his first World Cup at Manchester, despite riding the Worlds earlier this year, however he was unfazed by the post-olympic celebratory atmosphere to claim the Gold medal by just over a second more........
