Disappointing Day in Moscow for Britain

Pursuit Silver: Rob Hayles

Despite having set a blistering qualification time of 4min 23.032s, Britain's Rob Hayles lost the Moscow World Cup Individual Pursuit Final to Germany's Robert Bartko

Hayles recorded a time three seconds slower than qualifying (4m 26.742s) which was not enough to overhaul Bartko who covered the 4000m in 4m 25.826s

Paul Manning beat Russian Alexander Serov to clinch the bronze medal

Commonwealth Games champion Paul Manning got Bronze in the Pursuit

Andrei Vynokurov beat Teun Mulder and Mickael Bourgain to claim Keirin gold. Britain's Matt Crampton finished eleventh

There was more disappointment for Great Britain in the Women's Sprint events when former World Champion Victoria Pendleton could only manage 7th place having being knocked out by German Diana Gloss in the Quarter Finals

Anna Blyth, 10th in the Women's Sprint

Junior World Champion Anna Blyth did well to finish tenth

In the Men's Scratch race, Ivan Kovalev of Russian won gold with Mark Cavendish finishing in 8th, despite being in the winning group, one lap up

Italy's Giorgia Bronzini and Germany's Michael Seidenbecher won the Womeb's Points race and Men's Kilo respectively

Lets hope performances from the GB camp improve over the weekend

The Moscow World Cup continues until the 17th of December
