Great Britain finished the Moscow World Cup with a bang with wins in the Team Sprint and Women's Keirin

The unfamiliar trio of Matt Crampton, Jason Kenny and Craig MacLean stormed to Team Sprint victory beating the Netherlands trio of Theo Bos, Teun Mulder and Tim Veldt

This was a fantastic result for the British team as the three riders selected, with perhaps the exception of Craig MacLean, are not the first choice Team Sprint squad, whereas the Netherlands trio were

There was also success in the Women's Keirin when Victoria Pendleton made up for her disappointing performance in the Sprint when she took the Gold medal ahead of German pair Christin Muche and Diana Gloss.

In another superb performance, Britain's Junior World Keirin champion, Anna Blyth proved that she is hot on the heals of Pendleton in finishing sixth

Former World Madison Champions Mark Cavendish and Rob Hayles put in a strong performance to finish fourth in the Madison, behind Jens Mouris and Danny Stam of the Netherlands (Gold), Konstantin Ponomarev and Alexey Shmidt of Russia (Silver) who both took a lap on the field

Danish pair Alex Rasmussen an Michael Morkov finished in the bronze medal position

Elsewhere Italian Annalisa Cucinotta took the Women's Scratch Race

Despite a relatively disappointing weekend by British standards, the team still managed to finish second in the medal table behind Germany

The UCI World Cup continues in Los Angeles on the 19th of January 2007
