McGlynn/Hunter Smash WR to Grab Gold




9th May 2008: Great Britain cyclist Aileen McGlynn smashed the 3km pursuit world record to grab gold on day two of the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester. The Glasgow-based star – piloted by Ellen Hunter - shaved the world record by just 700 hundredths of a second off the previous time, clocking 3.36.752 seconds more........

8th May 2008: Great Britain cyclist Darren Kenny has vowed to take the Beijing paralympics by storm after grabbing two gold medals at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester. The 38-year-old – who won two gold medals at the Paralympic Games in Athens – also set two world best times but was prevented from having them ratified as world records because anti-doping officials were not in attendance at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester more........
