For those riders who find it difficult to attend the Velodrome Taster Skills Improver session on a Monday or Friday evening, and the Skills and Induction courses on a Sunday evening, there is an option to attend a weekend course to obtain accreditation. This course must be booked and paid for in advance and the maximum number on this course will be 15 candidates.

The cost for candidates is £28.00, and bike hire is £14.00. It is possible to book the course by phone, with a credit card. Phone reception on 0161 223 2244 (option 3). Payments made by credit / debit card will incur an additional 70p charge. If you want a form e mailed to you, please send your e mail address to: b.barber@manchestervelodrome.com

Please note that all our hire bikes are fitted with Look pedals. We also have shoes or adapters available for those who do not have Look-compatible cleats or want to ride in trainers. Cost of shoe hire per session £3.00. If you are bringing your own shoes, please ensure they are clean and free of mud and road grime.

Candidates should already have some experience of riding Manchester Velodrome, and have enough fitness to ride a 3 hour session. Candidates can use their own bike, or hire a Velodrome bike. A gear of 84" - 86" is ideal for this course.
