Cyclo Sportive/Plan B Winter Track GP:
Early Sunday morning 29th June was the start of our
Cyclo Sportif – Plan B Winter Track Grand Prix, over 500 cyclists starting
their ride in various teams riding a 14km circuit near the Midvale Velodrome
with wind and rain, thank goodness for track racing

Winter Track Series R3:
It was a cool night for
Round 3 of our winter track season, our program planner Darryl Benson set a
hard night for the A Graders with a 5 race Omnium, as A Grade was a bit light
on for riders some of B Grade were moved upwards for the night, plus the
Masters riders were incorporated into C Grade

Winter Track Series R2:
The
numbers were still down with riders away riding in other exotic places
and the rain kept away which is a bonus as this causes some problems as the
roof leaks and wet boards are not the best with track singles let alone
riding round the banking!!

Winter Track Series R1:
Our winter season started on 4th April, in conjunction with The
Tour de Perth riders registration night, this event was held over Saturday and
Sunday, with the Saturday races being held in pouring rain, about 65mm (2
5ins in the old money), no wonder I ride the track

Summer Track Series R13:
Finally for the Summer Season our last track
night arrived with the Westral Wheel Race Carnival, this H’cap is the second
oldest wheel race in Australia and was a 3 day carnival, times have changed now
all we can manage is one night of racing, at least we have managed to keep some
of the tradition alive

Summer Track Series R12:
The Junior/Master Track Championships were held over 2
days with some of the juniors looking forward to cement their selection for the
National Track Championships to be held in Sydney at the end of March

Summer Track Series R11:
This
round was missing most of our A Grade riders due to fact the National Track
Championships are being held in Sydney, in fact only young Mitch Benson was
riding, he is an under 17yr rider.

Summer Track Series R10:
Round 10 was our first meeting after the Xmas & New Year Holidays. We
were still a few riders down, some still racing or training over in
the Eastern States, plus family holidays during the school holidays,
yes Australia closes down till the end of January

Summer Track Series R8:
This was the last track meeting of the year, normally it is not well attended
due to being very near the Christmas break, however we had a very good turn out
with some excellent riders present, Graeme Brown, Dual Olympic gold medalist
and World Team Pursuit Champion, Cam Meyer, former U/19 Dual World Track
Champion and present World Cup Points Score Leader, Travis Meyer present
Triple U/19 World Track Champion and Josie Tomic also present U/19 Dual Track
& Road T/T World Champion, plus off course our normal 'Track
Mob'

and the Youngs Guns + U/17 Boys 10 Lap Scratch Race at Round 7 of the Summer Track Series in Midvale Speed Dome,
