Toekomst Sprinters Prijs
Yorick Bos (far right) seen here at Revolution 14 with the Dutch Team
In an exclusive for The Velodrome, up and coming Dutch rider Yorich Bos gives us his account of events
at the Toekomst Sprinters Prijs (Future Sprinters GP)in the Netherlands
Somehow I had a terrible evening. I started with a good 11.51, third time. My
brother Patrick had the fastest time of 11.04, Yondi Schmidt second in 11.30.
My first sprint against Sebastiaan Baanders (11.66) I lost. That wasn't
necessary at all. Then in the repechages against Jaime van der Lugt. All my
power was suddenly gone
I had no chance. Then I had to sprint against Ynse Taylor (12.00)
for the 7/8 place, the first one I lost, the second and the belle were a win for me.
At the end the keirin. Same story, I finished last, way behind the
group.
I can't explain it, but it wasn't my evening
The winner of the evening was
Yondi Schmidt, second Patrick Bos and third Vincent Weening. Patrick won the 200
metre, Yondi the sprint and keirin. Patrick was disqualified in the keirin.
Yondi pushed him down in the group (not a nice thing to do from Yondi, but it's
the keirin...) and Patrick got under the red line...
Thanks to Yorick Bos
