27th August 2010: Both senior groups enjoyed a good evenings racing despite the cool conditions. Ryan Owens opened the proceedings with a
fine win in the Group B 10 lap scratch and followed it up with a lone attack in the 10 lap Odds and Evens Block Pursuit with 4 laps remaining
when his teammates were lagging behind the well drilled ‘Evens’ group.
His lone attack was doomed to failure and he sat up with 2 laps to go. Josh Maynard edged out Nick Calverey on the line to take the win for the ‘Evens’ group.
Ryan Owens went on to take the Group B Devil from clubmate Josh Maynard with Sam Gilzean third
In the Senior A Group John McClelland won the opening 10 lap scratch and won a close 10 lap Block Handicap from the scratch mark finally catching Mark Smith on the line in one of the fastest races of the season. Trevor Burke won the Points race by a comfortable margin from David Langlands
The 10 mile was run at a fast pace with early attacks unable to gain more than a few metres before being reigned in. The field split with 10 laps to go and at the bell just seven riders were in contention
John McClelland won with Trevor Burke and Mark Smith filling the minor places
A depleted youth field nevertheless produced some close finishes in the handicap events.
Chris Hodges won the BC scratch and Devil but finished behind Daniel Maynard in the 4 lap handicap
Will Raymond took wins in the 3 and 4 lap scratch events in the CD group with Tom Durkin taking the 3 lap handicap from club mates Rebecca Maynard and Alexi Edwards..
