UCI Track Cycling World Cup



A host of World, Olympic, Commonwealth, European and National Champions will feature in this three day carnival of exciting, action packed racing. A full program of 15 events is scheduled from the heart-stopping speed of the sprint and keirin to the mayhem and thrills of the points race and Madison.

The UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics is a four event series showcasing the world's best track cyclists in head to head competition. The opening event of the 2007-2008 series will be staged at Sydney's Dunc Gray Velodrome from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December, followed by Beijing a week later, then Los Angeles (Jan) and Copenhagen (Feb) will host the other rounds.
 
The World Cup Classics are the qualifying series for the World Championships with riders doing battle to ensure their nation gains a place on the start line in Manchester in March 2008.

World Cup points are awarded down to tenth place in each round as riders compete to become the World Cup Series Champion and nations bid for the World Cup winning nation trophy.
