inaugurating one of the most modern velodromes currently in existence. The organisers are
committed to ensuring the Palma World Championships is one of the greatest championships to date.

Championships in Mallorca has served as a wake-up call for Beijing 2008. The Team GB veteran won his specialist event at the 2005 Worlds, but has been
chosen for the individual pursuit and madison in Spain this week

2007 will see Chris Hoy retire from the Kilo, following its removal
from Olympic competition. This has forced Chris to concentrate on the other
Sprint disciplines, such as the Keirin, Individual and Team Sprint. The removal of the Kilo from Olympic competition is frustrating and
illogical, but hopefully one day it will come back in.

comparison to the cycling systems in countries such as Great Britain and Australia, the Malaysian system is relatively
poor. Consequently, when Malaysia’s Josiah Ng finished 5th in the 2004 Olympic Keirin
Final, it gave a huge boost to the Malaysian cycling system, and demonstrated Ng’s
fantastic potential, as to achieve such a result without the backing the other
