Victoria Pendleton admitted she had
raised expectations for next month's World Championships after her golden
display in Manchester
at the weekend.
The 26-year-old
won three of Britain's
eight gold medals at the World Cup - in the 500m, the sprint and the keirin.
"I've got
something to live up to now, haven't I?" said the 2005 world sprint
champion, who added the golds had been the reward of hard work
"I've just
been plugging away at my training," she said.
Pendleton also
reckons the confidence gained from her recent form gives her a boost over her
rivals.
"When
you've had a bit of success, you can see people watching you," she said.
"You want
to intimidate them as much as possible - that's kind of what sprinting is about
- one-to-one combat."
The World
Championships take place in Palma de Mallorca from 29 March to 1 April.
